የዳንኤል ክብረት “የወግ” መጻሕፍት የወግን መስፈርት አያሟሉም ተብለው በባለሙያ ተተቹ - - - Read PDF

ከማህበረ ቅዱሳን መሥራቾች አንዱ የሆነውና በአሁኑ ጊዜ ራሱን በራሱ የቤተ ክርስቲያን ታሪክ ተመራማሪ ብሎ በመሰየም በየሚዲያው ገጽታውን በመገንባት ላይ የሚገኘው ዳንኤል ክብረት፣ ማህበረ ቅዱሳን በቀጥታም ሆነ በተዘዋዋሪ እጁን ባስገባባቸው የግል መጽሔቶችና ጋዜጦች ላይ በየጊዜው የጫጫራቸውንና በእርሱ አጠራር “ወጎች” የሚላቸውን፣ በወግ አጻጻፍ ቴክኒክ ረገድ ግን ወግ ለመባል ብዙ የሚቀራቸውን ጽሑፎቹን በአንድ ላይ አሳትሞ በሁለት ጥራዝ ማሳተሙ የሚታወስ ሲሆን፣ እነዚህ ስብስቦቹ የወግን መስፈርት የማያሟሉ መሆናቸውን ሐያሲ ዓለማየሁ ገላጋይ በሰጠው ሂስ አመለከተ፡፡በአዲስ አድማስ ጋዜጣ የታህሳስ 7 እና 14 እትም ላይ “ወግ ሲባል ከሁለቱ ሐውልቶች … እስከ ጠጠሮቹ” በሚል ርእስ በቀረበው ሂስ ላይ፣ ሃያሲው የዳንኤልን ጽሁፎች ብርቱና ደካማ ጎን በሄሰበት ጽሑፉ ዳንኤል ወጎቹን የጻፋቸው “በሰማይ እየበረረ በምድር እየተሽከረከረ በምናብ እየተፈተለከ” መሆኑን ገልጾ፣ “አብዛኞቹ አንዴ ተነበው የሚቀሩ ሳይሆኑ፣ ለእድሜ ልኩ ጉዟችን ስንቅ ለመሆን የሚዳዳቸው” መሆናቸውን አመልክቷል፡፡ “ዳንኤል የርእሰ ጉዳይ ደሃ አይደለም፤ ባለጸጋ ነው” ያለው ሀያሲ ዓለማየሁ፣ “ለእያንዳንዱ ርእሰ ጉዳይ የተረት ወይም የገጠመኝ አዲስ መለበጫ ስለሚያዘጋጅለት ወደ ታሪኩ የምንገባው ተሟልጨን ሳናውቀው ነው፡፡ ትረካው እንደ ቄራ በሬ ግራና ቀኝ እንዳናይ፣ ቀጥ ብለን እንድንጓዝ የሚያደርግ ጠባብ ፍርግርግ ነውና ዳንኤል ያሰበበት ሳንደርስ መለስ-ቀለስ የለም፡፡” በማለት ከወጎቹ ምሳሌ በመጥቀስ ሄሷል፡፡     
ድከመቶቹን ሲነቅስም:-
ከዳንኤል ሥራዎች ውስጥ በከፍተኛ ደረጃ ተጓድሎ ያየሁት የወግ አጻጻፍ ጠባይ አለ፡፡ አንድ ወግ ከአጭር ልቦለድ ሆነ ከሌሎች ፅሑፎች የሚለየው ጠባዩ ወዳጃዊነት፣ እኩያነት፣ ባልንጀራዊነት መንፈስ በፀሐፊውና በአንባቢው መካከል መስፈኑ ነው፡፡ ይሄ በዳንኤል የትኛውም ሥራ ውስጥ አይታይም፡፡ ደበበ ሰይፉ በመስፍን ሀብተማርያም “የቡና ቤት ሥዕሎች” መግቢያ ላይ እንዲህ ይላል፡-
“Informal Essay በደራሲውና በተደራሲው መካከል አንዳች ውስጣዊ ትውውቅን፣ ጥብቅ ግብብነትን የመፍጠር ባህርይ ነው፡፡ የነዚህ ማለት የደራሲውና የተደራሲው ግብብነት፣ ከአስተማሪነትና ከተማሪነት የሚመነጭ ዓይነት አይደለም- የአለቃና የምንዝር ቢጤም ይልቅስ የወዳጅነት ዓይነት ነው፤ የእኩዮሽ ተደማማጭነት፡፡ ደራሲው ይህን ታውቃላችሁ ሳይሆን ይህን አስተውላችኋል የማለት ያህል ስንዝሮቹን ሲደረድር፣ ተደራሲው እውነትህን እኮ ነው እያለ በአዎንታ እራሱን እየነቀነቀ እንደሚመልስ ብጤ፡፡”
እነዚህን ዋነኛ የወግ ባህርያት ዳንኤል ክብረት ሥራዎች ውስጥ አናገኝም፡፡ የዳንኤል ሴተኛ አዳሪ (ወንደኛ አዳሪ ውስጥ) (ሚስት ነኝ ማለት እፈልጋለሁ ውስጥ) የቤት ሠራተኛ (ይድረስ ለእሜቴ) ሃውልቶች (የሁለት ሀውልቶች ወግ) እንስሶች (ስማችን አይጥፋ እና ምን አደረግናቸው ውስጥ)፣ ልጆች (ቅኝ አልተገዛንም)…. ሁሉም ወቃሾች፣ ታዛቢዎች፣ የበላዮች፣ ትንቢተኞች፣ ባለራዕዮች፣ ናቸው፡፡ ፅሑፉ ወግነቱ ቀርቶ መጣጥፍ ቢሆን እንኳን ዳንኤል በሁሉን አወቅ ጠባይ፣ በሁሉን አራሚ ሥነ ልቦና ሊቀርበን ባልተገባ ነበር፡፡ “ከአስር አመት በፊት አሰፋ ጨቦ የተሰኘ እውቅ ፀሐፊ እንዲህ ብሎ ነበር፡፡
“የፅሑፍ ነገር ከተነሣ በዚህ ሰባት ዓመት ብዙ ‹ምሁራን› በአማርኛም በእንግሊዘኛም በብዙ መጽሄቶች ይፅፋሉ፡፡ በአመዛኙ ወይ አይገባኝም ወይ ይሰለቸኛል፡፡ የሚሰብኩኝ፣ ሌክቸር የሚሰጡኝ፣ ወይ የሚያስተምሩኝ ይመስለኛል፡፡ ጐኔ ሆነው ሣይሆን እነሱ ‹ከላይ› እኔ ‹ከታች› የሆንኩ ይመስለኛል፡፡”
የዳንኤል ወግ ችግሩ ይሄ ነው፡፡ ሁልጊዜም እርሱ ከላይ ሆኖ፣ እኛን ከታች አድርጐ ነው የሚጽፈው፡፡ ኢትዮጵያዊነትና ሀበሻነትን በተመለከተ ህፀፅ በመንቀስ ላይ ብቻ ያተኩራል፡፡ ኢምንቱን ግዙፍ፣ ነጠላውን ብዙ፣ ቁራሹን ድፍን … አድርጐ ለወቀሳ ይተጋል፡፡ አንድም እንኳን ይሄ ጥሩ የሐበሾች ልምድ፣ የኢትዮጵያውያን ጠባይ የሚለው የለውም፡፡ ውጭ የሄዱትን እንኳ ያሉበት ድረስ ተከታትሎ በአስጠቋሪነት (በመመቀኛኘት)፣ በዝግ (የፓርቲ ብር ይዞ በመጥፋት)፣ ለልጆቻቸው አማርኛ ችላ በማለት … ይወቅሳል፡፡
በጥሩ ጥሩ የወግ ጽሁፎቿ  ጭምር የምትታወቀው ቨርዲኒያ ዎልፍ እንዲህ ትላለች “A good essay must have this permanent quality about it, It must draw its curtain around us, but it must be a curtain that shuts us in not out” (አንድ መልካም ወግ መጋረጃውን በዙሪያችን ማንዘርፈፉ ቋሚ መስፈርቱ ነው፡፡ ታዲያ እኛን ከመጋረጃው ውጭ ማስቀረት ሳይሆን ውስጡ ሰብስቦ ማስገባት መቻሉ ግዴታው ነው)፡፡ የዳንኤል ወጎች ይሄን መስፈርት አያሟሉም ማለት ይቻላል፡፡ እንደ አዋቂ ቤት (ጠንቋይ?) ሥርዓት ወግ ጸሐፊው በመጋረጃ ተከቦ እኛ በውጪ ተኮልኩለን የምናደምጠው አቀራረብ በሁለቱም የወግ ስብስቦች ላይ ይንጸባረቃል፡፡ በዳንኤል ክብረት ቀጣይ ሥራዎች ላይ እንዲህ ያለው አቀራረብ ፈጽሞ ሊስተካከል አይገባው ይሆን?
ይህ በእንዲህ እንዳለ የማህበረ ቅዱሳን ድረገጾች ደጀሰላም አንድአድርገን ገብር ሄርና የመሳሰሉት ከግል ጋዜጦችና መጽሔቶች የዳንኤል ክብረትን ጉዳይ ጨምሮ ማኅበረ ቅዱሳንን የሚደግፍ ቃለ መጠይቅ ወይም ሀተታ ከወጣ ኮፒ አድርገው ለማቅረብ የሚቀድማቸው እንዳልነበረ፣ ለዚህ ዘገባ ግን የሰጡት ሽፋን የለም፡፡ ይህም የሆነው የዳንኤል ድክመት እንዲነገር ባለመፈለጋቸው ነው ይላሉ ታዛቢዎች፡፡ ድረገጾቹ የለመዱት ውሸትን እውነት አስመስሎ፣ እውነትን ደግሞ አዛብቶና በእነርሱ ርእዮተ ዓለም ቃኝቶ መዘገብን በመሆኑ በዳንኤል ክብረት “ወጎች” ላይ በአዲስ አድማስ ጋዜጣ ላይ በሁለት ክፍል የቀረበውን ሂስ እንዳላነበቡ ሆነው ማለፍን መርጠዋል፡፡
ሐያሲው እንዳቀረበው፣ ዳንኤል በጽሑፎቹ ያንጸባረቀውና ራሱን ሁሉን አወቅ አድርጎ በመሰየም፣ እርሱ ተናጋሪ ሌላው ሁሉ አድማጭ፣ እርሱ የበላይ አራሚ ሌላው የበታችና ታራሚ፣ እርሱ ከውስጥ ሌላው ከውጭ ሆኖ የቀረበበት መንገድ በሃይማኖት ጉዳይም እንደሚንጸባረቅና በጽሑፎቹ የታየው እኔ ብቻ ልክ ነኝ ሌላው ግን ተሳስቷል የሚለው የአስተሳሰቡ ነጸብራቅ ተደርጎ እንደሚወሰድ ጥርጥር የለውም፡፡

  4. The major question should be, how far is Daniel successful in fulfilling his objectives? And the answer for that would be positive. Because, his writings are read by millions of people. His criticisms are accepted by so many people. His blog is read by millions. His writings may be technically deficient but they are amazingly popular. They may be preaching but most of his readers are happy to listen to his sermons. His goal is to forward his ideas on areas which he believes need change. Daniel has never said "I am the only one who is right." No I have read almost all of his books and all of his "essays". I may have so many things to disagree with him but his writings are always from saying what has to be said about Ethiopia rather than repeating what has been said for decades. He writes to be listened and the people have listened him.

  5. Daniel has written to achieve a goal: to say something about Ethiopia. To say whatsoever he thinks to be good for Ethiopia, and to share what he believes in. I have read almost all of his books and follow his blog and I have never seen Daniel to refuse to listen to others rather his writings are always open for discussion and refusal. He has the right to write whatsoever he wants to write in whichever way he prefers to do so. We should respect that. If there is anything which you disagree with him, you may write your own ideas in your own way and let the people choose. Don't attack the person rather than his arguments for it would be an ad hominem fallacy.

    Of course, his writings may be technically deficient but never forget that he is not writing them for the sake of literary scholarship. They are hardly non-persuasive. But that is what he wants to do with his writings.

    Daniel really knows for whom he is writing. That is why he writes the way he writes. He is writing for the people not for elites. And he knows how to be listened by the people. It doesn't matter whether his writings are deficient when they are put on Virginia Woolf's scale. His objective is to reach the people, to tell them what he thinks is wrong about Ethiopians and Ethiopia and luckily the people have listened him. And still they are eager to listen to him. He is trying to make change on his own way. And he doesn't need to be alike with any other Ethiopian or European writer.

    Even from literary perspective there is a lot to dispute Alemayehu's argument based on the postmodernist definition of literature and discourse.

  6. Thank you Abaselamawoch for the first time today because you post this article to hurt Daniel but you are assisting him to know his short comings. In the history of such acts writers are not writing assuming that they are accurate in all things. They learn through their life and they correct the one they made mistakes before. Daniel will do the same in the future whether you you post this or not because he is not a dry stick which will broke if touched at once. Even though your intention is not to advice him but to undermine and insult his works in general, you have done the opposite unknowingly. Criticism is common in the world of essay writing donot try to make it special since this criticism by Alemayehu Gelagay is given on Daniel's works.
    Your mentality of hate to Mahibere kidusan and his members are not useful to any thing except it exposes who you are and what your goals are. So think repeatedly before you post any thing. Thankyou!!!

  10. Hi Aba Selama, finally here you are indirectly witnessing Dn. Daniel success. It has been and will be a tradition to criticize once work. It doesn't mean the criticizer is always correct. It never meant the writer is always correct. His work speak for itself. Millions are reading his blogs,books and listen to his preachings. Do you know more than those millions? If you have better ideas than him, starting writing like him. Let the reader be the judges.
